So Victor had received a peculiar phone call. He loved Zuri, no doubt about it. And even though they hadn't known each other very long the stranger on the phone had promised Victor would come into a large sum of inheritance but only if he were married. Well, to Victor it seemed the universe was aligning and he knew exactly what to do.

After assuring Zuri of his genuine affection, Victor explained about the phone call. Then he told Zuri he had a question he just had to ask. He knelt to the ground and fetched the diamond from his pocket.
