Question for FanFic and Story writers

I've noticed a lot of you use a variety of platforms that aren't AO3, how come? I'm asking because I am considering writing my own fanfic/story for the sims, and I was planning on just using AO3, but...

Wanted to add my two cents: since sim lit and sim blogging predates AO3 by several years, a large part might just be familiarity and tradition. Simmers got used to making their own blogs or forum posts. That being said, I’d recommend uploading your story on AO3 as well, so it can be read along with your other works.
