Question Regarding Cartoon House Builds

Houses in cartoons are notorious for having scaling problems. A good example is from The Loud House. If you design the upstairs as architecturally-accurate as possible, the downstairs is way too big. If you design the downstairs as architecturally-accurate as possible, the upstairs is way too small.

1) When you design your cartoon houses, which of the two do you personally prefer?

2) For story purposes, have you ever considered three different lots, movie set style? (Shell only, First floor only, Second floor only)?

3) Do you simply do the best you can, even if room shapes and sizes aren't exactly correct?

(Yes, I know there are a few Loud House builds out there, but I am not satisfied with any of them. No offense to any creators. I have OCD.)
