Rags to Riches game mode...
Rags to Riches game mode.
You start with no money on a non-residential lot.
Selling through inventory is disabled.
No build/buy mode until you are able to buy a lot. Everything will need to be purchased through a kiosk.
No free tools. If you need a fishing pole you have to buy it.
Gyms require memberships to use.
Night clubs, lounges and most public venues require a cover charge to enter.
Changing neighborhoods advances time and drains your needs. Like walking from place to place would.
You have to pay bus fair to change worlds.
New kiosks. Pawn Shop, Scrap/Junk dealer and Fish Market that you can sell to.
You'll be able to sleep on the ground, but if you try and use public spaces for sleeping, police sims can show up and run you off or criminal sims can rob you. So you'll want to make use of hidden lots like Sylvan Glade and Forgotten Grotto (once you buy a hammer to get in).
Initially, you'll need to make money begging, pick pocketing, stealing with kleptomania or dumpster diving.
If you get caught stealing, You get arrested. The game time will advance a day or a week and your needs will be filled. You won't need to spend an actual game week in jail.
Taking food that other Sims make counts as stealing, but you can try to befriend them and ask for food.
