Lucky Girl - Completed

I'm through Chapter Thirteen and it showed me something I wasn't aware that I was doing. First though, you did a wonderful job with the whole subject matter, but especially with the argument between Michelle and Jude. I don't know where you found the pose, well I know what site led you to it, but the uneasy, expression on Simon's face during the awkward moment when Michelle was really going after Jude actually made me chuckle. It was a perfect choice for the moment and totally captured the awkwardness that he and Evie were feeling.?

Now for what you showed me about how I'm approaching the story. I'm aware of Evie's flaws and mistakes when she's alone or with Claire, Shane, or any of the other characters. When she's alone with Jude I didn't realize how much I focus on what Jude does wrong in those moments. When I got to the scene outside the hospital and Evie mentions how she handled Jude's declaration of love for her I was like, she's just doubting herself again. Or she was trying to placate him to get him to talk to her, or even to look at her. I thought why was she saying these things, he was the one in the wrong. So I went back and reread that moment from Chapter Eleven and then I saw it. She handled the whole thing as badly as he did and he might not have done what he did without her sabotaging everything. For whatever reason when it's them together alone I become blind to Evie's flaws. Subconsciously I find myself always taking her side in those moments instead of seeing both sides and how they're both making a complete hash of things.?
