@hellohannah2 I just read chapter 21 and it was really good. You did a great job with the tarot reading! You pulled me in as well as Evie with the things he said to her.? I know they’re great at giving people generalizations that feel specific to them, but your tarot reader was masterful at reading Evie and really picking up on her reactions!
The part where Evie and Claire run into the woman who is luring in the ‘marks’ reminded me so much of an encounter I had with a scammer in New Orleans years ago.? It didn’t end as badly as Evie’s did but I got suckered. I still have the glass I bought later that says ‘Bad decisions make good stories’?
