Reading in the Bath!!!

I would love to see my sims kick back after a long day at work, or retire to the bathroom if they have the uncomfortable moodlet and have a nice long soak in the tub with a good book.

It'd be nice if we had candles like we did the TS3 as well! I loved those little decorations on the corners of the tubs.

  • sims should fall asleep in the bath tub if their energy bar is low while showering. :p

brb, putting TV's in all of my bathrooms.
I had no idea you could do this.

Neither did I, But I was experimenting. I had a blank wall I wanted to fill, and I didn't like any of the paintings so I just stuck a tv and a little stereo and I was surprised to see it work.
  • I would love it if Sims could read in the bath. Great idea. Hope it gets added.
  • I actually had this happen as a bug. I made a list of actions for the sim and they started reading a book on the toilet. When it came time for them to take a shower they wouldn't put the book down and would get in with it.

Unfortunately, books do not belong in showers. My sim would realize this and jump out of the shower after just a few seconds. Sometimes they'd sit down and try to read. But the critical hygiene would have them jump back in the shower...with the book. And then jump out. After ten repetitions of this I got frustrated with the critical hygiene and pressed "M" to move them to the gym. Offending book was in inventory and he could finally get clean.

I'm not sure how to upload pictures, but I did get a good screenshot.
  • I would never put electronics in my bathroom like that. Steam and moisture is not good for them and lord help you if something falls. I lost a pc once by having it too close to my bathroom. The continuous moisture from the bathroom ended up shorting it out. An expensive lesson as I build my own pcs - so I never have put another pc near a bathroom again - ever. Learned my lesson well. That pc was only 7 months old and I had to rebuild all new again.

But I will not even allow hair dryers in the bathroom. You want to use that or curling irons or anything - go to your room - lol. Granted in the game I know it does not matter but i got so used to small people viewing me play that I tried to show safe real life practices in game. I stay very light on the deco too.

  • My teen sim wears his earphones in the shower unless I remember to make him take them out first. They still work perfectly afterwards, too!

@Mavalynd - welcome to the forum! You won't be able to post pictures or links until your post-count reaches a certain number (30? I forget!); if you want to get to that number fast it helps to participate in some of the forum game-threads. You'll also find that the mods prefer us not to bump threads that have been inactive for a long time; this one for example is from 2015. When you have a moment, you may want to read the posts here. Meanwhile, happy simming!
