After visiting with them a while Alek let Mariam enjoy alone time with her parents while he practiced his programming and gaming skills for work.

She and her brother Ashton went to talent night but they arrive too late for Mariam to participate. She still has fun. (I had her bring her own keyboard but the game wouldn't let her pick it back up.)

The big moment arrived. Alek gives Mariam a big hug and says everything will be okay.

Out of Mariam's sight Alek has a little freak out but gets himself together soon. (Not really but it makes for a nice story to think he's the strong and supportive type instead of dancing in panic every five minutes. ;)

Alek is sitting in the waiting room keeping watch, feeling uncomfortable with the surroundings.
