I've been thinking about this more and more since toddlers arrived. The way they have the ability to level up skills at daycare is perfect. Why aren't kids and teens learning skills at school? That is exactly what they should be doing. Maybe even allowing teens to choose what skills they want to focus on with a selection of classes to take during the week. The new parenthood school assignments goes a long way to helping that, but - especially when it seems impossible to make and keep friendships at school - the only good thing about sending them every day is to get them out of the house.
