Seventeen & Maldusk: A Supernatural Soap Opera

And we're immediately back to Reuben, his POV of that weird evening was exactly what I was the most curious about after reading the last chapter!

There were a lot of interesting details on the vampires lore in this story, even mentions of Reuben's old day and a flashback picture where he looks a bit less pale (and he's wearing some sailor clothes?), a lot of details about all the cases he's working on, more details on the mysterious Mitchell trying to be a "a thoughtful and decent person", and many shoots with an unnoticed Tristan in the background.

Yet, above all, I'm mostly worried about Reuben now. I can understand that for a vampire delaying the meals for too long can cause troubles, but even him seem worried this time, and he didn't get much better even after eating. His focus on his job is admirable, but I'm quite worried about him as well...
