This thread is to share the stories of the young Sims in my games who were left orphans due to the neighborhood stories accidental deaths or their parents dying of old age. The idea of giving lives ...
Here is another story from another Valley Orphan: Katie Roswell who is eager to tell her story.
KATIE’S STORY
Hello and welcome to my humble home in the magical forest community of Glimmerbrook where you will find spellcasters like myself coming and going from hidden Magic Realm lot where we learn everything there is to know about our chosen lot in life. Now that the winter season has come and almost gone with the annual Winterfest and New Year’s Eve festivities are over, I thought it would be a good time to tell my story.
I was born in a weird, military town called Strangerville to one of the town’s founding couples, Ted and Meredith Roswell, who kept getting infected with the town’s strange illness that causes them to walk in a strange and exaggerated jerky way and lost the ability to speak coherently. Apparently, this is caused by a strange fruit that grows in the desert areas of Strangerville and if someone eats something that is cooked or baked with this fruit. Thankfully the side effects of this illness wear off after awhile and those infected can walk and talk normally again. There were times when I unknowingly ate something that had been contaminated with this strange fruit since once it’s added to a recipe and cooked, it doesn’t look or any different than other breads or sauces and is odorless. The best way to describe it is that the food looks delicious but turns out to be ‘the wolf in sheep clothing’ scenario. I was fooled a few times and ate something that didn’t agree with me.
After experiencing adverse effects from consuming the fruit, my parents decided to relocate to Willow Creek and purchased Eric Lewis’s former residence during my teenage years. By that time, my parents were in their senior years and sadly passed away not long after starting high school. Thankfully, my parents left me with enough inheritance that I was able to have a starter home built for me in Glimmerbrook with a small stable for my dream of owning a horse someday. Growing up as an only child gave my lots of time to play fantasy video games and with the action figure dolls while watching my favorite TV shows like Casper Ghost and Wendy the Good Witch and Sabrina Sim which made me dream of becoming a Purveyor of Potions.
Having a nice roof over my head and a bed to sleep in gave me confidence and assurance (self-assured) to accomplish anything I put my mind to like getting straight As in high school which allowed me to graduate early. I celebrated my young adult birthday with friends on the day before New Year’s Eve. New Year’s Eve was spent meeting new friends in Henford-on-Bagley, watching the countdown to the new year, completing my resolution of increasing one of my skills and landing a new job in the world of business that will start bright and early Monday morning as spring gets under way in Glimmerbrook. Hopefully I’ll be able to adopt the horse of my dreams. In the meantime, please enjoy photos taken during the winter season of snow and fun including my birthday party.
Katie was invited by her good friend, Juliette Lorford to meet some celebrities in Del Sol Valley during Winterfest.
After returning home from the Celebrity-Meet-and-Greet, Katie had more friends stop by including Juliette's father, Orson Lorford on the right who is a great grandson of my original Simself, Jan Tedford and one of her alien grandson Louis's sons. He lives with his wife, Teulia and six of his seven children and will tell his story in my Valley Ventures thread.
Katie meeting Father Winterfest who stopped by during his holiday rounds. He gave Katie a nice new fridge for her Winterfest gift.
Welcome to Katie's birthday party where everyone was having so much fun, that a dust bunny decided to attend as well.
Here are some of the guests who are part of my active households in Valley Ventures along with more or Katie's good friends. Ann Pleasant who will be in the Valley Orphan story with her older brother, Tyrone who was still a teenage when their mother, Angela passed away of old age. Luna Villareal, Juliette Lorford and Elaina Engle. Ignore the mess as Maxwell Lorford was catering Katie's party. Ignore the mess as Katie's caterer for the evening, Maxwell Lorford was trying to make too many cakes at once.

Will leave you with Katie's young adult picture of her getting her new clothes and hairstyle. Along with being a Self-Assured Horse Lover, Katie is also Romantic Reserved and has decided not to rush into a relationship but is waiting for the right Sim to sweep her off her feet. In the meantime, Katie enjoys making new friends with her 'Pristine Relationship' and will focus on her magical dreams and business career.
Happy young adult birthday to Katie! 🎂She is a lovely lady. It is great that her Birthday party went well and her guests enjoyed attending it. It is lovely photo of them all helping her to celebrate as she blows out the candles on her birthday cake. It was great that she was given a fridge by Father Winter for Winterfest 🙂 It was a good idea for her family to leave Strangerville!
