Simming On A Whim

Hello! My name is Caleigh and I welcome you to Simming On A Whim, my forum thread about whims-based Sims 4 play. I have been playing the Sims 4 for almost two years and have loved getting to know the personalities of the Sims I have created and exploring the various worlds and lore associated with the game. For me, the Sims 4 offers an escape into another world, complete with various cultures, creatures, and life events that I am unable to currently experience in my real life. Although I am somewhat limited on the packs I have right now, I hope to purchase all of them at some point in the future to increase the richness of my gameplay. So, what exactly is my gameplay? It's taken some time for me to figure this out, but I've found that I am a live-mode, family player all the way. Building and CAS is not in my skillset, but I do love seeing what other Simmers create. What I have in mind for Simming On A Whim is a deep dive into my Sims' traits and characteristics, with unique, self-created whims for each Sim that are based on who they are. I plan to start with a Sim modeled after myself (a Simself?) and begin a legacy from there, with the goal of eventually becoming a rotational family player. Whether this thread becomes a Sims 4 journal that only I read or a thriving community, I will be content. Please feel free to comment at any time - I love connecting with other Simmers.     Introducing... Caleigh Goss! An outdoor-loving, vegetarian, good young adult Sim, Caleigh has just moved into a small starter home in Willow Creek. The house is alright - just enough for a single woman just starting to get a foothold in life, but Caleigh decides it needs a little something more: a garden! 

    After purchasing the necessary planters and dainty little seed packets, Caleigh is ready to get her hands dirty. One by one, she buries the little seeds beneath the dark, nutrient-rich soil. Onions, mushrooms, carrots, spinach; all might be small now, but Caleigh knows that with water, sunlight, and a gardener’s careful hand, they have the potential to grow into something magnificent – something that a Sim can be proud of.

    After all the seeds are cozied into their new sub-soil homes, Caleigh showers them with water from her watering can, whistling cheerfully as she works. She may have come to this town alone, but she is now cultivating life in her yard. No matter that the seeds can’t talk back to her; they exist, and, for her, that is enough.

    Caleigh is lovely 🙂I hope that she will enjoy living in Willow Creek, and that her gardening goes well.

    Thank you very much, Rosemow! I plan for gardening (and other outdoor activities) to be a big part of Caleigh's story.
