I already have the Laundry Day pack, but I do like the notion of a basket in which to carry stuff out to the clothesline. I only ever use the clothesline in conjunction to the wash tub, however. If we're to go fully retro, a wash machine with a hand-crank with two rollers attached in order to squeeze the moisture out of the clothes would be fun. My mother's very first wash machine was like that. In the 18th century they had what was called a Box Mangler, wherein you feed the wet clothes between the two rollers by turning the crank. I think my mother's first washing machine was an upgrade from the ancient Box Mangler. Certainly the idea was the same. I would love it.
