If you have Get Famous, the tape in fencing keeps Sims off the stairs, just fine. :) Of course, you have to remember to remove it, or nobody will be on the stairs. LOL
In my current game save, my Rock Star still has his older and next younger brother living at his home. So anytime, Erik and kayleigh wish to get out, one of the brothers is usually there. No need to hire a sitter. I don't like the Nannies, they are on the odd/freaky side, calling your kids to come over all of the time.
I miss the playmat made available in Sims2!
