As far as celebrities go I do agree with @Dannydanbo. With that said, I think it would be interesting to have maybe a mixture of Maxis created celebrities and maybe spoof celebrities. I think randomly created celebrities is sort of necessary so your sims who want their claim to fame can make connections and makes networking all the more important.
