**General Disclaimer - I debated when I put the challenge together, whether or not I would offer feedback with my opinions on what worked and didn't. I decided that although I'm still learning and very new at this, I want everyone's opinions regardless of skill on my creations. Therefore, I'll offer mine, and those I'm critiquing can either take them or leave them. They have the option of asking for no feedback in the entry. Everyone should be aware that these are only my opinions and should be taken with a grain of salt. **
@Icanhassims, simply stunning. I love the use of the romantic pack on the outside of the home. I'm a sucker for fountains and for flowers and you didn't disappoint. I like how you did the porch with the rounded bench area and stairs on either side. The marble floor tiles adds an elegance to the build. The front has almost a museum look. I like it.
I don't think I've chosen those windows before. Very good choice. The flower boxes brings just enough color to the exterior to contrast the white walls. Very stylish! Oh there's easels on the balcony! I almost didn't see them. What a wonderful idea. I didn't see the trellises until I went to look at the inside. I love them crawling up the side like that!
Oh....my. Where do I start inside? Such an attention to detail. Beautiful dining room. I love the centerpieces. Normally, I try to find one item to mark as a centerpiece, but adding the flowers on the either side of the candles is quite pretty.
Oh! I haven't seen that color of fireplace before! I love how it accents the rest of the sitting room. I love the stacking of those two rugs to make a new one. Very pretty.
Very nice little kitchen. I like the choice of tile on the walls. The whole room is bright and cheery.
I think the living room is my favorite on the first floor. I love the pastel blue wallpaper.
Okay, this is hard...What would I change on the first floor? Before I continue, critiquing one of the builder's I admire most is..difficult at best. It's like trying to tell a master painter that she's holding the brush wrong, but I'll give it a try.
Let's see. I can't find anything "wrong" on the first floor, so its more about stylized choices. I'm curious on the choice of very little curtains on the both floors. I'm not sure if you were going for an airy look? I think adding them to the sitting room would have given it a little bit more of a cozy feel. The only other thing I can think of here, is in the kitchen. I probably would have put the sprinkler system box over by the trash can and put some sort of decor on that wall. It looks kind of out of place where it is.
Second Floor. Starting with the pink bedroom. Oh my, such wonderful choices here! I love adding the walls to make that little office area and using different wallpaper. Same in the blue room. You added little bathrooms to all the bedrooms. I think I like the blue one the best. I can't decide between the blue or the pink bedroom on which I like more. And I love the little kitchenette. Such a clever idea.
The green bathroom's tub seems slightly off color with the blue. I think I would have used the green one to match as you did in the other two.
I like the music room on the third floor. I had to click on that dance mat to see it was a mat. I haven't seen it before. At first I thought you had used different tiles, but then I saw the trim and realized that it couldn't have been (Yes, I'm a newb). I love the mirrors on the walls and use of vintage decor.
The only change I would have made to the third floor is to move the mat to the left one square. It's off center. But you could have made that choice purposefully because of the record player, I'm not sure.
Overall, I love what you did with the shell. You made some beautiful choices that I adore. Thank you very much for participating in my little challenge. I'm honored that you did. Happy Simming!
