Day 1, Pt. 1
Hello my blogging friends, I'm ready to share to adventures and the stories that come with them.
When my parents was still alive, my dad was trying to teach my how to play chess, so when the house was completed, I made sure to get another chess table to replace that one that was lost in the fire. I'm not as good as he was as I was just learning the basics, so I made sure that I watched a lot of videos on my phone as well as playing chess on a app that I have on my phone as I didn't have regular computer in my trailer. Oh how I miss my parents, especially my dad as I was a daddy's girl. Well I was the only child that my parents had after I was born as my mom had complications during my birth with left her unable to have anymore kids. My parents had always wanted at least 2 kids, a boy and a girl but that didn't happen after I was born. And since I was an only child, my parents as well as my grandparents doted on me every chance they got.
As I was sitting at the chess table, I had the sudden urge to book a trip to a jungle, so I had pulled my phone out and started looking for jungles that had dig sites and came across Selvadorada. I did some research on it and found that they have some dig sites for beginners, so I booked a trip to go there. Once I got there and got settled in at the Hillview Hideaway, I headed on over to the Alam Museum of Archaeology and had a look around taking in the view of the surrounding area. I can't believe how beautiful it is over here. I just hope that they rest of the jungle is like this.
Once I took in view, I went looking at the vases sitting outside of the museum wondering where they had come from and what the story was behind them. I'm curious like that, you know always wondering where stuff like that came from and what the origins are of them. I used to make up stories for the rocks that I would collect pretending that they were moon rocks that fell from the sky and put them on display in my room. When I would find gems, I would search the many books that my parents had brought for me to see if I could anything about them there. And when I could find what they are or I needed more info in them, I would get online using my little computer that my parents brought for me for my birthday one year.
My parents were quite supportive of my interest for archeology but my mom also wanted me to go to college to study other things for different careers in case the archeology thing didn't work out. I think that she was just worried about me when I would finally go off to visit other countries for days, weeks or months at a time looking for dig sites and ruins and tombs to explore but she never said anything to me about it but I just had a gut feeling that she did. Dad on the other had was quite excited for me as he always wanted to be a world explorer but couldn't as my parents had me at an early age and they didn't want to have drag a baby on every trip they took. He was glad that I would be able to see what the rest of the world had to offer to me.
Once I was finished looking around outside, I went in and introduced myself to Ivana Alvarda whom I believe is the museum curator but I didn't get a chance to ask her what she did. While I was talking to her, Geoffrey Landgraab and Aitana Márquez came in to have a look around.
Mortimer Goth and Clement Frost showed up. Mortimer was dress almost the some way as Geoffrey except they had different color shoes and socks as well as the hats. I waved to Clement to get his attention to say Hi and to tell him that he reminded me of Santa Claus. And with that comment, he gave out a jolly laugh that one would think that he was Santa Claus. So asked him what brought him here and he said that he was on vacation as he wanted to go to the jungle and check out the museum.
Mortimer introduced himself to me as well as the rest of the people there who didn't know him and then proceeded to talk about the artifacts on display while Mortimer was intently listening to Mortimer.
Geoffrey started talking to Clement and Mortimer while Leinani Teheiura was giving someone the side-eye. She didn't look to happy about something or someone that was there. I wondered what her problem was, so I went over and introduced myself to her.
We had a conversion but it got a bit awkward as she was accusing me of being an artifact robber, stating that's all archeologists do is steal artifacts for their own personal gain. I tried to tell her that not all of us was like that and that I will end up donating whatever I find to the museums that they belong in but she was buying it. Yes, I know that there are archeologists that just do it for the money and the fame but not I as I just want to have fun and learn new things and the culture of the places that I visit. So after trying to reason with her, I stormed off to go out and get some fresh air.
When I got outside, I was met with a very large mosquito... YIKES!!! So I made a mental note in my head to make sure that I find someplace that sells bug spray to use on them or I will be eaten alive by these huge monsters. The conversation that I had with Leinani had me a bit shaken as she was wrong about me and that she didn't know what she was talking about. I would never try to profit from my digs and would refuse any type of payment for my services as I really don't need the money as like I've said, I'm just in it for the fun of it.
Once I had calmed down and got myself together, I went back inside to have another look at the artifacts on display. I noticed that other people had showed up but I chose not introduce myself to them as I wasn't really in the mood at the time.
Well, I will leave you all with these pictures for now as I am getting quite tired and I really don't want to overwhelm you all with a lot of pictures in my blog. So I will return in a day or 2 to post some more of my adventures.
Goodnight to all of my blogging friends and I love you all...❤️
Love,
Mindy

It is sad that your missing your parents Mindy, but it is lovely that by playing chess you can bring back special memories of your Dad ❤️ It is great that you have travelled to Selvadorado and are going to explore the jungle. It was great that you met Clement Frost who was on vacation! It would be best to buy some bug spray to protect you from the insects. It is not nice that Leilani upset you by accusing you of stealing artefacts, as an archaeologist 🙁I hope that you continue on doing your exploring as she has the wrong idea about you. You explained to her why you were there and that it was just to enjoy learning about new cultures and having fun exploring.
I look forward to reading your new adventure update 🙂- lisasc3606 months agoHero
Thank you rosemow...😊
I've been trying to make another update of my game but this site gets so frustrating as I keep getting the "Oh, snap. Something went wrong" and I need to refresh every time that happens. Sometimes my progress is still saved when I go back to try again and then it disappears. Oh how I miss our old The Sims site...😪 Plus I haven't been home much in the last couple of days as the hubby was in the hospital and he came home yesterday, so I've been worried about him like I always am when it comes to him. But I will try to update some more this week...🙂

I am sorry that your husband has been in hospital. It is worrying when our loved ones are unwell. I send hugs to you ❤️I hope that he is feeling a bit better.
It is not good that you are having issues with the site. I am having issues at times too.
