Day 1, Pt. 2
Hello my blogging friends, I'm ready to share some more of my pictures from my adventure in Selvadorada, so I hope you enjoy it...😊
After I was done looking at the artifacts, I decided it was time to go outside and start searching for some dig sites on the grounds of the museum and the surrounding area in hopes that it would put me in a better mood. I came here for a reason and I'm going to stick to that reason and not let someone who doesn't know what they are talking about chase me away and keep me from doing what I have always wanted to do, the heck with them.
It didn't take long for me to find my first dirt pile and to start digging and rummaging through it and taking pictures as well as taking down detailed notes on what's in there. I did find some things in there that I will need to take a closer look at when I get back to the museum as they have an Archaeology table that I can use for free. Then I moved until the next dirt pile and did all of my steps again that I had done on the first one.
While I was digging in the last dirt pile, I had noticed a rock a few feet from me, so I went over and pulled out my hammer and chisel and started chipping away at it until I had discovered a gem inside of it. I will put that in my collection so that when I get home, I can use my gemology table to study it and then create a piece of jewelry with. I had always wanted to take some of my gem collection that I had to make matching jewelry for my mom and I as she loved jewelry. I used to make my mom jewelry made out of pasta as I was too young for a geology table and she would wear them whenever she had the chance and she was proud of my pasta jewelry. She also said that handmade/homemade gifts are the bests gifts to give and to receive as they come from the heart.
When I was done searching the area for dirt piles, I headed over to the Cantina "El Arbol del Jaguar so that I could use the bathroom, clean up and to get a bite to eat. But before I went inside, I took in the scenery around the area and marveling how beautiful it is here.
While I was finishing up in the bathroom, Andrea Guerra and Vincente Rangel came into the bathroom to have a chat. Wow, doesn't anyone know that it's rude to barge into the bathroom while someone is using it to have a chat. Don't get me wrong, I don't have a problem with Andrea coming in there since this is supposed to be the Women's bathroom, but why did Vincente feel the need to come there as he could had waited outside for the 2 of us to exit the bathroom for a chat?
After my chat with Andrea and Vincente, I went to the bar and ordered me some food and drink to have while the patrons all gathered around by the bar to either chat with everyone or to dance to the music that was playing on the radio.
I decided to head back to my vacation home as it was getting late, but on my way back to the house, I had gotten a text telling me that my Archaeology Vol. 1 book had arrived so that I can start reading it and learning from it before heading off into the jungle.
When I got to the house, my package was in the mailbox, so I went and got it so that I could sit down to read it. And don't ask me why I'm sitting out in the rain reading when I should be inside reading because I will tell you that I love the outdoors, so therefore, I have no problem sitting out in the rain. And besides, it feels good sitting here as it does get hot in Selvadorada.
I'm off to bed now as I had a long 1st day here, so have sweet dreams and I will see you all later. Goodnight.
Goodnight!
Love, Mindy...❤️

It was great that Mindy found a gem whilst digging, and lovely that she is planning to make a piece of jewellery from it, in remembrance of her mother. It is very sweet that she used to make necklaces out of pasta for her mother when she was little ❤️ It was great that her Archaeology volume 1 book arrived, and funny that she decided to sit outdoors and read it in the rain! I look forward to read about her upcoming time in the jungle.

I loved this entry. Very engaging. I do have a question, though. When books get wet and then are dried out again, the pages get rumpled and some stick together. Won't that make the needed book hard to read? LOL
I loved this oh-so-true message: She also said that handmade/homemade gifts are the bests gifts to give and to receive as they come from the heart.

GalacticGal, Thank you...😊 The normally do, but since this is the Sims, anything is possible...lol...🤣
I love that message as well as I know that the people getting the handmade gifts appreciate a lot more than store brought ones. Plus it's fun making the gifts and thinking about how much they will love them. I make cards to give to my hubby and his step-mom and they just love them.
