The Teen Scene
Before High School Years becomes available, here are some Sixties teens from the story.

This is Jamie McGregor, the main teen character from Sim 66. He's heavily based on the character played by Barry Evans in the 1968 movie "Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush". Jamie is a typical 17 year old boy; he's desperate to get a girlfriend, worried that he's going to fall behind in fashions and worried what his social status among his peers is. The shirts on the left are cc but mixing and matching base game items gives that 60s look: Belted pants which flare out slightly, dark jackets worn with white jeans and sneakers or Cuban heel boots.

Judy Keith is the object of Jamie's affections but she's way out of his league and is barely aware that he exists. She's modelled on Judy Geeson's characters in To Sir With Love and Here We Go Round The Mulberry Bush. American viewers might know Judy Geeson as the English neighbour in the TV show "Mad About You" but back in the 60s she was British cinema's "It" girl.

Lulu Strang is the second most unpopular girl at high school (Cassandra Goth is #1) and it hasn't been revealed why she's so disliked. Lulu is based on teenage pop star of the 1960s...Lulu. I'm not the most imaginative when it comes to names. Lulu's three looks are based on 3 real life outfits the real Lulu wore in films and on TV. The one on the left is based on the one she wore in To Sir With Love, the middle one is her live TV performance of the title song for the same movie and the one on the right is her look from a TV appearance singing "Love Loves To Love Love". How does Lulu get 3 very different hairstyles? Wigs! Wigs were a big deal back in the Sixties.

Colleen here is based on the Sixties teenage model Colleen Corby. When doing research for Sim 66 Corby kept cropping up in a lot of fashion catalogue pictures...there's even entire Pinterest groups dedicated to her. These three outfits are based on real ones she modelled.

Gillian and Jane are two "Dolly Birds". They're based on the characters who appear in the 1966 movie "Blow Up"; the aspiring models who pester David Hemmings' character.

David Watts is the cool guy who's the captain of the team, gets the girls and knows all the hot spots in town. Of course his look is cutting edge for young men in the Sixties.
