For me, a lot of my characters generally seem to not always know how to connect with peers--they really like everybody, but they often seem to sort of stand on the outside, looking in, and trying to understand all these social cues and what seem like rules, which they simply don't have an instinct for... and when they start talking enthusiastically about their latest interest, the others turn away with glazed looks--or get out-right mad!
Well, I guess that sums up my own social experience--at least on the inside! I might be a little more experienced at faking it and pretending I know what's going on than my characters, but inside, I'm just as clueless as onezero, TS3 CT, and Charlie! LOL!
@rednenemon and @friendsfan367 - I really enjoyed your examples. Yours made me laugh, @friendsfan367 and yours, @rednenemon made me feel grateful for the closeness that so many of your characters feel with their best friend/lover.
