@CathyTea I enjoyed your take and think that you have hit on much of the trouble online communities have.
Recently I was "talking" to a very very very very well respected simmer on this very thing and was shocked to hear that they too felt a bit "alien" form time to time. I am wondering if, for us, it is the nature of the beast. Simlit (like most writing) is a deeply personal. It is as tho thru our writing we peel small bits away revealing a very vulnerable parts of us that does not happen in normal online conversations. It can be quite unnerving indeed!
