@CathyTea That's a really lovely way of looking at it! I definitely think of my thread as my home, and to be honest I don't venture outside of it too much because it feels nice and comfortable and nobody judges me for my dirty dishes since, well, it's my home, so I can do as I please :D I like the safety of it :)
I think other people's story threads are more like their stores to me. Since I like to go there and shop, and chat to the store owners I've grown to know (in this respect this could be their home), but in addition to that, I like to do wimdow shopping too. Lurking in somebody's living room would be a little creepy. So I'm going for stores :D
The Book Club genuinely feels like a club house. There's the regulars, plus some fresh faces each time. I love the atmosphere and the connections you can form in that thread, even though I can't make it every single week.
The lounge I think is like a really busy restaurant. With some delicious looking food. But sometimes all the tables seem taken, so I don't go in as often as I'd like. Plus, eating out all the time can get expensive! Luckily I can always cook at my place :)
(I'm not sure what this thread would be in the analogy, since I don't normally frequent here! I just liked the topic, so hopefully nobody minds my two cents. Darn that window shopping :D )
