I love the idea of allowing the "Work from home" careers to be allowed. I also think leaving the toddlers rule open until we get used to them is a good idea. I don't know how long toddlers have before they age, I forgot to look when I was in game (Is it 5 like Sims 3?), if that's the case, I think with the skills being like what? Only level 3? There's 5 skills for toddlers? I'd say if you could get at least 1-2; to level 3 or more before their birthday, you could age them up early.
Though, I don't see me aging them up early anytime soon, or at all, because we've been without them for 2 years and a few months. Soo, I plan to play them out the fullest!
I know a lot are worried that it'll make the challenge harder. But honestly, I always felt like the children being able to be home alone, and being able to practically do whatever on their own.. they feel like they don't need as much care as the infants and toddlers; and at least if you have a child in your house, they can help with the toddler at least and that'll give you some time to attend to infants. :)
I'm SO freaking happy that toddlers are here now! I can't get over the fact that they're finally released and it's really made me love the game even more and now my families can have full families and instead of having like a ton of children in the house.. I can finally have some time to let the children grow as children and not rush them to teenagers because infants no longer age into children. I am so thankful to the developers for releasing them and for such an amazing surprise SO early in the year! :) Eep!
I'm so excited and I wish you all the best of luck with your challenges. :)
*Also* Has anyone had any issues with pregnancies after the patch? I started a new save with a new founder and she got pregnant, and had a boy. (Of course, lol) and after I took her into CAS to change out a couple of outfits and he turned into a toddler, but in cas, he was still an infant; and then when I came back out, he was a different skintone AND she was pregnant! D: And she hadn't even met a second Sim to get pregnant... :expressionless:
I don't know what happened.. but I'm going to try to go into my game later and see if it fixed itself, or if my save is already corrupted.
*EDIT* About the vampire babies, etc. It says that you can age them up via the birthday cake, so as long as they get an A in school, and or maybe we could add "powers" to this (we're learning about powers and weaknesses more this coming up week) and then once they have let's say "3 powers" (I don't know how any of this works, just kind of going with something of how I think it could work) then the vampire along with their powers + their A in school, then they can age to young adult and be moved out.
Or something some-what like that. Just to give it more of a challenge and something different since they're supernatural/hybrid.
