@sweetnightingale Lenora sounds like an interesting fit. I don't think he'd be turned off by her being a supernatural, I think he'd be more curious than anything else. I don't think Caleb will be getting a job (although he doesn't know that) simply because he has so much to get done while he's "in charge" of the story for the second generation. I expect quite a lot of chapters with him holding the reins because there's so much fun stuff you can do with a sim that loves to eat with the new City Living expansion. I'm in no hurry to get done with his generation since this is sort of a side project for me, telling a story with Drifters (I already have another Drifter save that's not story-based), and I can afford to take my time with it.
Caleb will also be spending quite a lot of time in his garden, so a plantsim might also be cool. It might be fun to see how he reacts to two completely different sims. He's not really a foodie, but I can imagine him acting just like one because he likes eating so much. I'm willing to do two pen pals if you are.. although I think more than two would probably be too much. I figure he'll have two-three letters to one or both pen pals while he's still in high school, before he "takes over" in the next generation. Maybe more. I'm having trouble writing for his mom, though.. hitting a little bit of writer's block over it. My imagination is completely caught by Caleb.. his mom, not so much. Which is why she hasn't had too many chapters. Starting the pen pal thing before Caleb takes over is my way of letting him into the story so it's easier to write. LOL
That's too cute that you have a Golden named Caleb! I have a mew (to us) beagle/terrier mix named Cassie, and I love dogs. We had a cat, too (and another dog) but both died due to cancer in the last few months, hence the new dog. We found we simply couldn't go on without at least one furbaby in the house.
