The Sims 4: Ren Faire GP or EP!

Hear me out, Simmers.

I loved playing The Sims Medieval, and I am so bummed that I can't continue it on my 2020 Macbook Air.
I think it would be really cool if they brought back this concept but as a vacation world. I keep getting flashes of The Sims: Makin' Magic where we had the "roller coasters" LOL

They could have themed community and residential/rental/campground lots.
They could also introduce new food/drink, music/instruments, career/skills, activities, etc.

FOOD/DRINK
-Turkey Legs
-Bread Bowls
-Honey Mead

MUSIC/INSTRUMENTS
-Faire/Festival music station
-Lute/Harp
-Recorder/Ocarina (kids-adult)

CAREER/SKILLS
-Blacksmith
-Glass-blowing
-Rennie* (cast member)
-Falconry

ACTIVITIES
-Jousting
-Garb (costume) contests
-Archery (?)
-Becoming a Lady/Lord/Knight (kids-adult)
-Talk like a Pirate/Rennie

ETC
-New CAS clothing/hair/facial hair/tattoos/jewelry
-New "groups" - vikings, pirates, peasants/lay people, Lords/Ladies, knights

I think it would be a lot of fun!
What do you guys think?

-Fran

  • Meh, I think you can with the witches. I froze Temperance so she'd Freeze during most of her viisit!

I'd take it just for the recorder! If there were two wind instruments, I'd probably substitute ocarina for a Renaissance instrument like shawm or crumhorn.

Also, it would be a great pack idea to introduce horses and unicorns. Although such feature-heavy packs can not be expected from The Sims 4. *sighs*

I totally agree horses and unicorns would be a great addition to such a pack.

thank you :) if only it could happen...
  • I was a Rennie in my youth. I return to the local Faire at least once a year if I can (Spouse isn't fond of the out doors, adult kid's car isn't fond of the distance and parking lot, and I don't drive.)

I would love ... no, love is too mild a word... my enjoyment would know no bounds if they would do something like this for the Sims. I'd actually prefer this over a Medieval expansion/spin off. (Why I wish Batuu was more Theme Park and less alternate existence.)

And it would be perfectly fine to have the regular townies show up at the faire, either in garb or not. That's how renfaires work. Heck, let the sims from Batuu show up too. (I can't tell you how often I see Klingons at the Faire.) All I want is for the CAS to be heavily mix and match - so that you can pair that pirate wench top or doublet and swordsman shirt with jeans or a full length, double layer skirt, or anything else your heart desires.

But yes, the food, the shops, the comedy shows, the music acts, the joust ... just not the mud show. No one needs that in The Sims. (No one needs to see the show more than once, it hasn't changed in 30 years...)

This is exactly what I was thinking! I want a pack, not a completely different game.
Don't get me wrong, I loved The Sims Medieval, but I don't need something that extreme. A pack would do great where townies and rennies can interact with one another. Then the rennies can go back to their regular townie lives.
  • Would love this! Especially if dragon eggs/dragons, unicorns and horses were included too
