@ThePlumbobSpoilerYour comments about Trix have led me out on a bit of a task.
I have installed an old backup file to take some more pictures of the beloved animal. It has led me a bit off on a siding because of course Trix immediately came across some incidents I can not ignore. Ergo, I have to edit the chapters I had already prepared.
I know where the story should end and I also have several fix points (and more backup files) I can stick to.
My general dissatisfaction with the image quality from my saved images makes me try to replay quite a bit. As you know, the Sims' events are not always predictable .... so it will be a very long and unpredictable project.
In fact, it might not hurt :joy:
I think that's a really good way to approach it, you have your old save and photos for guidance, but can also make little tweaks and polishing with the new save, and of course, give us more cute pictures of Trix <3 I find that it's easier to steer and get the results you need when it comes to pictures when you're working off of events that have already played out.
You might not know this, but (slight OT tangent below, I apologise!)
Spoiler
The initial inspiration from my story actually came from my first playthrough of Discover University, where the sim I had joined the secret society and then could not get rid of the sprites, so I had her get tangled up with the magic realm in her effort to lift the "curse." What you actually see in my story is a more polished, pre-planned version of that, though I'm past where I got to in that save now.
So personally, I find that approach actually works really well! But yes, perhaps there might even be a few surprises for you now that you have the extra saves in the mix :)
