I started a romantic elimination competition for one of my sims. He just became a young adult and is looking for that special someone to spend the rest of his life with. It is bachelor style, where he is the bachelor and 8 single women are vying for his attention. I decided not to do it at Gibbi Point. It is at a lot from the gallery that I placed in Del Sol Valley in the hills. This is the bachelor, Theodore Ito Scott at the getaway enjoying a moment alone.
These are Theodore's traits. He just got the Lovebug one since being at the getaway for half a day. I think he is a good catch.
And in alphabetical order, these are the women competing for his affection. These were taken after the first half day.
I will post some pictures later of the first night, but any guesses about who the first elimination was?
I like him giving the rose like in the show 😆 and It worked 🙈 none of them being able to help him is funny as well. I remember you mentioned forgetting to remove the windows on the glass wall, but honestly from the angle you take the pictures, it looks like the background is a giant painting. Looks pretty nice 🙂 Let's goo Lyla!
And then there were just two remaining, Lyla and Kaydence.
Theodore had feelings for both of them. He was glad he didn’t have to make a choice like they do on the TV show. He decided to just sit back, enjoy the beautiful day, and whoever flirts with him the most wins.
Lyla celebrating making it to the final two.
Theodore telling the girls to just relax and have fun.
Maybe slow it down a little Lyla – and one drink is a Cupid’s Juice. Not even sure how she got two drinks. The bartender is rarely behind the bar.
Theodore is a dance machine so one group dance before bed. And Theodore went to bed alone not knowing who the winner would be.
The next morning Theodore is sad thinking about the end of his fabulous week. But also hopeful that during this week, he may have met the girl of his dreams.
And the competition came to an end with the announcement that Kaydence Mathews was the winner!
I really enjoyed doing the competition and I will have sims do it in the future. I chose 8 singles, but I think that was a lot. I did have to extend the stay one day to get to the final elimination because the most it let me choose at the beginning was 6 days. Six singles might be a good amount.
It let me choose the singles, but only from a limited pool of available sims. It looked like only sims that are in my unplayed households that actually live in the world were eligible to be selected. Townies that don’t have a home or job were not included in the selections.
I was disappointed that when it ended, it just transferred Theodore home. Now I don’t know if that was because the time period ended or because the competition ended. I may try making the stay longer than the competition next time to see if he or she gets to stay at the resort.
When you go into the rules, I chose “No Strings Attached” and I would choose it again. I think with it off would be fun for some people to see the fighting, but I thought that might be distracting from the ultimate goal. With that rule on, the girls did not fight with each other when he was romantic with one of them in front of another one.
And I probably should have had Theodore move out on his own before doing the competition. The family was at the house taking care of themselves and I had aging turned off, but it was a little distracting getting notifications that Mom was going to work, etc.
And I think setting less activities for the time slots would be better. I probably had too many choices, so the girls were divided between activities. I did read that you could change activities while on the getaway and I never tried it, but that might work out well. You could do hot tub one evening and dancing another evening. And you saw, I chose to have a bartender for the evening activities and a chef for mealtimes. It might not have been necessary. If your sim is a good cook, it might be fun to have a few people cook together or have more grilled meals.
For whatever reason, I could not drag plates to the fridge or to the trash. So, if Theodore wanted to put a meal away, he had to do it one dish at a time or the next morning they were all spoiled and then he had to clean them all up because I couldn’t drag them to the trash. And we all know Aunt Nanami wasn’t doing it.
Theodore’s Dilemma
So, I narrowed it down to three from the competition that I think he could date. I think with the romance where it is at with everyone, I think whoever he chooses is just going to be the one. There are no more “no strings attached” rules. I took Lexi out of the running because of the bad compatibility, even though I think they would be cute together. And even though Iris made it further than Laura, I think he had more of a connection with Laura. I had wanted Theodore to settle in Copperdale. I saw there were some cheering for Lyla.
Lyla Sadler is a Style Influencer, and her traits are Generous, Active, and Bro. She lives in a nice home in Brindleton Bay with 2 toddlers. She has good compatibility with Theodore.
Kaydence Mathews does not have a job that I know of, and her known traits are Active and Party Animal. She also lives in a nice home in Brindleton Bay with what looks like her father and two sisters. She has amazing compatibility with Theodore.
And finally, Laura L’Amour does not have a known job and her known traits are Bro and Foodie. She lives with her two dogs in a nice home in Newcrest. She has good compatibility with Theodore.
Any feedback to help Theodore decide would be appreciated. I like them all. I haven’t played him since the competition ended. He is still standing at his front door waiting for the rest of his life to start. Maybe he will autonomously let me know what he is thinking, but during the competition, he would pause to think about all of them at different times.
It was good to read your thoughts on how the competition went. It is helpful for other simmers who may be planning to do the same competition. Perhaps Theodore will let you know himself which lady will be his special someone. There may be something that now happens in his life as you play his household that will show you whom he may want to develop a relationship with, now that he is not in the midst of the competition setting.
Having fights all over would've made the ending a lot more predictable too, nice choice with that 🙂 Picking between all 3 is hard! I like Lyla and seeing the dogs🥰 Laura too, and Kaydence ultimately won. Such a tough choice, hopefully he lets you know on his own
