Day 1:

They started off with only 3 simoleons, which is what was left after furnishing the cottage. There wasn't any food in the house, so Edward set off to do some fishing.

However, the fish in this pond were a little too crafty for Edward, who wasn't a very skilled fisherman, and so he went off to do some hunting and foraging instead. Caitlin waited patiently.

Thomas went to town to check out the market, even though he wasn't able to buy anything.

He did meet some neighbors though. Benjamin, a blacksmith, and his daughter (whos name escapes me at the moment).

Thomas did have a few giant crop seeds and so he planted those.

His father returned with some hare that he caught and Caitlin cut and stored the meat.

Unfortunately, all they had to eat was gruel, which Caitlin prepared for them.

It must not have been that bad though, because while Thomas was tending the garden, Elizabeth showed up to have some gruel as well!

They ate together and talked and Elizabeth told them a bit about how married life was going. They also had a small farm, but they had yet to buy some chickens.

After dinner, Caitlin cleared the dishes and Thomas and Elizabeth chatted until it was late.

And so, a pretty good first day. Hopefully Thomas will meet someone soon that he will want to marry. :smile:
