When you wrote "today was her birthday" I got a little nervous. At least she made it through aging up without anything bad happening. I think the art lover trait suits her well, since she did love Thomas' art.
I love that picture of the toddlers that follows "oh dear..." :) Their poor sad faces though... :'(

I didn't think it was cheesy at all! I like the direction you're going with this story. The part with Lady Goth and Camilla is very fairy tale like, while also being very original. I can't wait for the next chapter! I'm excited to see what happens with Raven later on as well!
