@mightysprite That's plausible at least. I was surprised I only had one sim decide to go swimming in the middle of those disastrous practice weddings...hilariously, in hindsight, it was Danielle. She wandered off in the middle of one of those tries. I was looking in the crowd for that unmistakable gown she had on and then she came swimming past the pier.
@luciusstorm The solution came to me during the night. I woke up and it hit me, poses. That will work for some of the role players, the bridesmaids and the officiant. The guests in their seats might be trickier. I tried seated poses way back in the episode where Liberty and Summer confronted Travis and I couldn't make the poses work. I'll try again here at least and if I still can't make them work I'll go with your suggestion for the shots of the guests.
For whatever reason, probably because I'm on a Mac instead of a PC, but weddings are still horribly bugged in my game and I just can't risk the damage they caused even if I can play the chaos for laughs.
