@DaniRose2143 I'm so very sorry to hear this. What, may I ask, is the Fame bug? As you probably know, I've had MWS weddings, several of them with the same bride and groom. I look forward to another wedding once Erik and Kayleigh (who still is not in my game, as yet) find each other and realize they are in it for life.
I, too, have found my save seems to move forward (kinda like our Sims continue to turn their heads while on PAUSE) once the game is saved and we exit. What is up with that? Eerie. Creepy much. OI. I do hope EA takes these kind of bugs seriously.
