Chapter Nineteen
Wedding Day
Unlike Friday, when the dawn broke on Saturday morning in Sulani, it was beautifully sunny. Perfect weather for two people who love each other deeply to pledge their devotion, to make a pact for a lifetime. Days like today belong to lovers, and today belongs to Londyn and Danielle Huntley. With her parent's home being within sight of the wedding venue, it was an easy decision for the brides to use it for their preparations. Neither Londyn, nor Danielle, are ones to get hung up on traditions. If they make sense sure, but the old one about not seeing the bride before the wedding seemed especially silly to them.
They arrived first thing with Danielle's mom and their team of stylists in tow. Siobhan Fyres doesn't just offer wedding dresses. She and her team, and her partner Luna Fyres, offer everything a bride needs. Ebony, Liberty and Siobhan were team Londyn, while Jennifer, Summer and Luna were team Danielle. Summer and Liberty did arrive a tiny bit late, only an hour, which is amazing really after last night. They too where no worse for the wear, they just forgot to set their alarms.

It's just past 8 in the morning, Ebony has stepped out to go check on things at the venue following yesterday's storms. The guests will be arriving just after noon, so it was time to start creating the perfect looks for the wedding of a lifetime. We'll leave the ladies to their joyous task and await the grand unveiling.

With the brides as lovely as ever and the clock inching towards 2pm it was time to make their way to the venue. The guests were already beginning to fill the place and the sounds of the ladies playlist wafted over to the Huntley's home. For the last hour of their preparations the teams were serenaded by artists like Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Ed Sheeran, Etta James, Sade, and even Louis Armstrong. It was a wonderful mix of old and new, songs to get you dancing, some to make you reach for the Kleenex. Danielle and Londyn both chose to dedicate upbeat songs to each other but their first dance song was one guaranteed to leave not one dry eye within 100 miles. With the guests nearly all there, and with Darian still dripping wet from deciding that the ocean was just too tempting, and concealing a swimsuit under his tux, it's time to begin.

The timing could not have been more perfect. They had wanted to walk down the aisle as the sun set into the waters of Sulani. The setting sun makes the perfect metaphor for the ending of their lives as individuals as they now and forever become one.

Summer in her role as bridesmaid threw Venessa a lifeline and started the songs that they had chosen to dedicate to each other. For Londyn, Danielle chose, "I'm Feeling You" by Michelle Branch. For Danielle, Londyn chose "Love On Top" by Beyonce.
Now it's time for the vowels. *Dang it Venessa you got me doing it now.* The ladies chose to do one set of vows and to deliver them in unison.
“I now pronounce you legally married partners in heart and mind, in body and soul, in love and in life. You may kiss the bride."

With that I'm physically tired and emotionally drained. I hope you love this one as much as I do. It was a labor of love, in every sense of the word. I'm sorry for how long it took to get this done, but what a ride this past week's series of episodes has been. I'm going to go eat lunch and take a break. When confronted with that level of estrogen concentrated in one spot, even a man as secure as Lewis might consider being somewhere else if he doesn't have another guy around for support. Ebony did return quickly with good news that the staff at the venue had been prepared and jumped into action before dawn the previous day, in fact they had arrived in the wee hours of Friday morning and worked tirelessly to have everything moved to safety. And once again they did the same this morning and had everything back in place ready to go before the sun even popped over the horizon. They will definitely be getting a huge tip for such efforts!

Londyn secured the services of her co-worker, and rising star, Venessa Jeong to be the officiant. Most people aren't aware that Venessa can conduct a wedding, including Venessa herself. But as the saying goes "If you don't know, fake it."
As the familiar strains of 'Here Comes The Bride' ring across the water, and the assembled guests, flower girl Ayanna Bradley takes her place and begins her walk..
