If you'll let me expound on some of your ideas with details of my own (I'll make multiple posts for the sake of tldr):

Grocery Stores would absolutely work as a retail space now that they've added produce stalls in City Living. We have lots of new produce, fish and spices with the Seasons, Outdoor Retreat, and City Living (to name a few) and it wouldn't be hard to build a store with these on the shelves. We could technically already do that in the game, but I'd really like to see some display assets specifically for produce--like baskets or crates for produce and freezers for fish. Could be "old general store" themed since they already have some decor items that match that style, or a modern grocery store theme. Could also be something that could act like a farmer's market--this could take the animations for the shop owners from the stalls and make them completely open-air. Have the displays open-air as well. A farmer's market could also include flowers and plants as separate stalls. This would also work great for a Country Life pack.
