WEDDING EXPANSION!!!

So I love TS4 and all of it's expansions and stuff packs up to this point. I've been pleasantly surprised at how quickly things seem to be coming out, and while I'm dying for a Pets and or a "Generations" style expansion I've really been thinking a lot about having a wedding expansion, or stuff pack. Weddings are a huge part of my game, and I would love to have more wedding content. Especially clothing and accessories. More dresses, veils, headpieces like tiaras and flowers, bouquets, boutonnieres for the men, etc. I would love to be able to select a wedding party and choose their outfits, and be able to select a color theme and style for the wedding that would change certain decor at the lot at once and set the attire for the guests at the wedding. I wish you had to hire an officiant for the ceremony, and could have the option of a podium instead of an altar. I wish you could hire a photographer for the photo studio and that you could take a picture of more than 2 sims at the same time. I wish a "First Dance" was an option like cutting the cake and that you could invite both bride and grooms friends/family at the same time regardless of who is "planning the social event" via phone. Just some thoughts! Do any of you have any ideas for a wedding themed expansion or stuff pack? Let me know your thoughts!

    Exactly my thing were always the rings let the woman have her engagement ring and wedding band on the same finger with either gold, plantium, or silver. Wedding gowns a mermaid style, a ballroom gown, one with feathers, a short wedding dress long or short veil and train a big or small bouquet of flowers, bridesmades dresses have a ring barrier and flower girl, have the entire party actually walk down the aisle if you are having a big wedding have the bride walk with the father or by herself. Have a priest or someone to ordain, the reception have the bride dance with her father like they did in Sims 2 and toast to the newlyweds have more option on wedding cakes. Also toss the bouquet and yeah.

    I wouldn't mind this idea in a game pack, since those packs tend to be centered around one idea. Great Ideas ;) :)

    Yes.
    Don't make it solely wedding themed.
    A family celebration stuff pack would be better.
    With more birthday party stuff too, and wedding aniversary stuff, new baby stuff, retirement party stuff, graduation party stuff, sleepover stuff.

    Then there could be party furnishings, like chairs with covers, that compliment tables with table cloths, or simpler folding style chairs, flowers or balloons on strings for table decorations.

    Different types of celebration cakes

    More formal and party wear. Including real princess dresses like this

    It would be nice if you could set the attendants for weddings, and choose their outfits too.
    It would need to be simplified, rather than traditional, because some people have a best woman, and a man of honour, some have bridesmen and grooms women. So, adult/teen attendants, and jr attendants, then you get to choose how your game will be.

    A carpet would be better than a platform, then you could use it outdoors, or in any building.

    GREAT IDEA! I would love to have a Celebrations expansion!!! I would love to have a graduation day like we once did and be able to throw a retirement party, and different kinds of parties! And could we please get a photo booth to take pictures of more than just two sims at a time and children with adults at the same time? Thanks for expanding on my idea!!! I hope we can see it come to life in the future!!

    Name it like this Get Invited! because it's a wedding, birthday, funeral, anniversary whatever you can think of expansion pack.

    I would love a celebrations pack! Also, it would be nice to somehow sort the weddings out so they worked a bit better. I always feel like they're kind of rushed. I'd love to be able to make it a longer process with goals, sort of like a pop up like how they do for parties and the like, and for the wedding to involve both sims, not just the one planning it. The pop up could stay up till you get married with a checklist, such as ...

    Plan your wedding!
    - Archie's Friend of Honor
    - Betty's Friend of Honor
    - Wedding Venue
    - Cake Topper

    If you choose to plan a wedding, you can have a moodlet 'wedding planning'. If things go down to the wire, you could get a moodlet called 'Bridezilla' (for men or women) and they get stressed out and have breakdowns xD

    I'd also love to see a larger footprint for wedding arches. If you chose a maid of honor/best man/whichever, they could have a place to stand as well. It would be awesome to be able to choose your colors for the wedding as well, so that when the wedding started, the wedding party changed their clothes, too. This would actually work well in the way that retail and restaurant lots choose their uniforms and such.

    Just a few ideas to throw in there :)

    This is a great idea like a fleshed out and improved GP version of TS2's Celebration SP. Weddings and birthdays could both definitely use some improving on for sure.

    Just logged into the forums. I saw this as the top thread in Ideas but for a second I thought it was in GD thinking that a weddings EP had been announced...

    But cool ideas though :smile:
