The neighborhoods need more venues and the venues themselves need more interactions/things to do. As things are now it doesn't even feel like a real town. No police, hospitals, or town hall? Even the venues we do have are terribly dull. If the Sims 4 bars and nightclubs were real they'd have poor yelp ratings for being so boring and lifeless. The libraries lack interactions that are unique to them. Gyms aren't different enough from previous games to be interesting. How about personal trainers, juice bars and fitness classes? Dumbbells and Barbells? Things are so dull my Sims inevitably become hermits.
I will say that Granite Falls is a good first step. We still have a ways to go but this is a positive direction.
