Wooden Indoor shutters for windows. ie. each side of a window or bay window. These are in many old houses in the uk (and becoming fashionable again as slatted horizontally or solid). The outside shutters in the game are not generally used in the uk but on the continent for shutting out the heat of the day.
Ours are used for keeping the cold out and security without having to open any windows. They are a great selling asset as being "original features."
