Yeah, that doesn't sound like a realistic way of finding a partner, but it is the sims.
Before using Wondeful Whims, I would find a sim my sim got along with and said, "You'll do." Now, I only allow them to fall in love with someone they find Extremely Attractive, assuming the other sim feels the same. It has added a bit more challenge to relationships for me, and I can't imagine playing without it.
As for Cameron adjusting, I can relate. When I moved from my home state, I felt so out of place. I had my boyfriend, now husband, but I had left behind all of my friends and family. It has been almost 20 years, and my new state is home. I still visit regularly though. Maybe the same thing will happen to Cameron.
