Not all are possible to place even with a moo cheat in this game. And sometimes Sims can't go through them. It's a hit and miss. Why not enable it in code so we don't have to cheat and mess up someone else's game if they don't turn on cheats? :D
Ah, I see. I had this issue when trying to place awnings over a gap in a wall. In the end I placed the awnings on the wall first, then knocked out the wall section and the awnings stayed put. I think I had MOO on. So maybe place the curtain first and THEN the door/arch and see if it works that way round. Not ideal, I know, but it might work for now.
