All right, everyone! We're officially closed now to new members. I'll officially welcome you all now @xJojox, @CreamierThanMami, @Julyvee94 , @Simcraft81, and@JLBDreamer.
Schedule: (and I'll post this on the first page too) July suggested 2-3 weeks. Let's be generous. It is summer after all and life is busy at times. 3 weeks from today is July 9th. I think that's a good time to be caught up by.
How often does everyone post? This will help us determine in the future how we want to read/discuss. I'm thinking new post - possibly new discussion following after, either initiated by the writer or one of us. I post on Saturdays for KFLL, typically every week, although I'm coming off hiatus.
Sim of the Month: Thanks @CreamierthanMami for the suggestion. Since we're playing catch-up, we don't need to nominate anyone yet. If you don't know what this is, pop back to the first page and read these 3 posts: 1, 2. 3
Basically, once we are caught up, we can nominate one Sim from each other's stories. Perhaps 1-2 nominations per person to ensure we don't get too many double nominations. I think the general rule is you can't nominate someone from your own story.
We could pick a theme for nomination if that would help narrow it down. Funniest Sim? Best Dressed? Most Mysterious? Best Dialogue? (more ideas...)
When you nominate, you can write 1-2 sentences about why you're nominating or just post a picture from the story to explain.
CreamierthanMami will design a poll for us so after nominations are in, we can vote for a period of a few days (possibly 5 like they do in the Short Story Contests?)
Then during the month, one of the discussion questions can be surrounding the SOTM - why we like this Sim (or we could nominate an animal character also), and I'm drawing a blank on other questions right now. I'll probably have an idea once we start nominating.
When your character is selected for SOTM, you can provide a mini bio either on here or link to your blog/story platform/Simblr/etc and include a picture of the Sim so we can put it up above on the first page.
