Add Walls Cutaway View by Room

This will seriously help the sims as the game has tons of decorations that cannot be seen without raising the walls up but this blocks playability from view restrictions.

Quality of life please add an extra View with the walls down in front like the Walls Cutaway View (by Room) added.  So whatever highlighted sim and the room they are in the back interior walls from their position will be up but front walls down.

This will seriously help your game.  It's obvious you can do this as you already have the Walls Cutaway View that has outside perimeter walls up.  Just make it room based on selected sims.

This in my opinion is a very important QOL.

  • It would also make it much easier to decorate also. I agree, all the interior wall should not drop down, just the ones blocking your choosen sim.  I want to see the paintings on the wall.

  • What I don't like is that using half walls as fencing causes more interior walls to cutaway. I like to use them for upper balconies but it causes more of the upstairs walls to vanish and look as if I'm playing with walls down. I don't want all of the bedrooms to be open, I'd prefer it just on the room I'm playing.

I agree.  I wish the active sims room would have the walls up behind them.  Many sim content creators create awesome content.  But when playing the game I often miss half of it because I have to have the internal walls down to be able to play easily.  It really should have a by room option and would massively help content builders as they can now decorate in fun ways and that content can be seen by players.  Why decorate the house if when playing you can't see anything on the inside walls?  We do it for fun but rarely see our designs shown unless we play with walls up.

Great idea! Been wanting a different threshold for the cutaway view and this is a good way to do it or think about it. It’s like we want dollhouse view in a sense, where just one wall (between the sim and the camera) is cut away.

This, or a cutaway wall threshold slider for the user to control/set via game settings would be awesome, where the user can essentially choose when the walls cut away. I assume it’s already sort of programmed based on tile distance (from the camera?), so allowing the user to control that to their preference could be something.

For me personally, I make smaller spaces so it sucks that 99% of the time, every wall around the sim goes down, often to the point that it is hardly discernible between walls down and cutaway. I want to see my decor but I can’t unless I use walls up, which then means I have to get too close to my sim to see anything.
