Better Genes

i'm a family gameplayer, big or small families (mine really depends)

and almost each time the babies are born and they grow into teenagers i notice the girls almost always have the mom's genes and the boys almost always have the dad's genes

the noses, mouths and even the eye forms are all the same

that's not realistic in real life, i believe The Sims 2 did better with faces when it comes to genes (i don't play The Sims 3 so i can't tell if they are better but The Sims 2 definitely did a better job with the genes to have both dad and mom's appearances a bit)

it needs genes from the grandparents and even great-grandparents too, NOT just the parents

i have male friends that looks a lot like their mom's, i had a female friend who looks mostly like her dad and me as a woman i look mostly like my dad, The Sims 4 should be just like that, having better diversity with the appearances

i hate when the girls sticks by the mom's look and the boys sticks by the dad's look (i can deal with it if it's only once in awhile but i don't want this all the times you know?)

speaking of genes: the kids should have the hair and eye colours like its grandparents and even great-grandparents sometimes (The Sims 2 had them for sure, the parents had hair colours their kids doesn't have but instead the kids had them from grandparents or even great-grandparents and same with eye colours) i want them in The Sims 4 for sure and it should be in the basegame update

i hope the team consider this about creating better genes and even have the kids have the thing the parents doesn't have but instead the grandparents or even great-grandparents have

i want to skip a generation or even 2 generations when it comes to how the kids looks like from faces, eye and even hair colours and also makes it look like the girls doesn't always look like the mom and same goes to the boys who doesn't always look like the dad
