Death by grief.

A death by grief would be a great addition for storytelling in The Sims.”

Some Sims are so emotionally attached to their child, partner or best friend that they just can’t handle the loss.

This new type of death could be triggered when sadness becomes overwhelming — especially after the death of a loved one.

 Suggested interactions:

  • “Mourn deeply”
  • “Sink into despair”
  • “Feel too much to go on”

The animation could be subtle: the Sim kneels, cries heavily, and slowly collapses.

It wouldn’t need to be a full modpack, just a light feature for emotional storytelling players.

This would add so much realism and emotional depth, especially for legacy saves or tragic storylines.

What do you think?

  • I don't know . . . Dying of rage, embarrassment or laughter aren't touchy because they're comically unrealistic. Dying of sadness is different. You've probably heard the expression "too soon."

It's always too soon for someone.

. . . Just watch. Someone's going to tell me off because their uncle watched too many Kevin Hart videos and keeled over.
