I didn't get a notifications when Deck The Palms Login Event started, i only got the notification that the event ends on the Jan 13. So now I've only had 5 days to log in and claim gifts. I liked the earlier event better, there you could still finish the tasks if you came late to the event and get the rewards

I'm upset because I completely forgot about the event at the beginning of the year, and I didn't claim some of the last items, and now I'm 2 days late since the event ended on January 13th. I really wish they had given us more of a grace period to claim the items. I'm really upset I missed getting the toddler slide. I've wanted one forever without having to buy the Toddler Stuff pack.
The fact they marked the main chat about this cursed event as solved with a terrible explanation of like basically oh yeah we heard this was an issue and we can't do anything about sorry. Like 😂 maybe extend the event to at least make it up to people who got screwed out by your buggy event
Honestly think that was just a PR way of saying you’re not getting the items. Mentioning future event improvements that’s something for them to look at internally not us and seems like a distraction from the point. And no clear answer from them. Looks like they’re trying to just make us forget about this. Won’t be playing the sims unless they fix it. They definitely won’t be extending it as it’s over now we can only hope they give the items to those who tried to participate. Judging on their response AI says there’s about a 25% chance of that. So probably not ☹️ very much a PR response to not make themselves look bad for saying no.

If the SpongeBob's Krabby Patty was an apart event item, will the crowns (or the swords) from the "Royalty" pack also be apart the same way? 😂🤣
Honestly, I completely understand the idea of having promotional events with prizes to be won. But when these items are iconic and important to the game's universe, it's far too frustrating to no longer have a way to obtain them.
It's like if the lightsaber from the Star Wars pack wasn't included in the game but was only available as an event limited-time prize. That would be absurd. And playing this Star Wars pack without the lightsaber would be pointless and frustrating for someone who could not have it. (But thankfully, it is well included in the pack). Or maybe, it's like if the fairy wings were to win on a short-time event, and people who could not get it during this event will play with wingless fairies. That would be absurd too.
That is the feeling I have about this Spongebob pack: there is the Spongebob universe but its iconic Krabby Patty is not there. The short-time event was the only way to get it, and now people who could not get it will play Spongebob... without the Krabby Patty. It loses its appeal. I don't understand EA's decision at all to make the Krabby Patty a limited-time event reward.
I'll wait until March to see if there's a way to get the missing iconic items, but if there isn't, I'm going to stop buying additional packs. It's too frustrating to buy a game knowing it's incomplete. I don't see the point in buying it. I really like the Sims, but I think EA is too clumsy with these things. I prefer to focus on games that give me genuine enjoyment and satisfaction, rather than games that are too fragmented.
