Me too!!!
My sims caught fire yesterday using the restroom. All items are upgraded by the sim I am playing. The first skill they max is handiness. However, the Don’t Fear the Reagnomper gnome with a halo was repairing (nothing needed to be repaired) and upgraded my toilet to include compost. I have ALL packs for Sims 4 but this is annoying. I had to pause, reset my sim, and put the fire out mid air over the toilet.
Thank God I had testingcheats on. I never upgrade this part of the toilet unless I have a game with sims that is totally off-grid and gardening using the insects. This also happen with auto upgrade as well which is why I never choose the option either.
Yes I play with and without mods. I have tested with and without mods was able to have it happen. I not a fan of gnomes (as they creep me out), but it would be great to have a way to turn them off.
I've tried appeasing them whether they're good / evil and it doesn't matter. There is no way to control them. Evil gnomes have showed up on the lot and set my sims garden on fire even with good gnomes on the lot supposedly protecting. And on top of that she had to pay to restore each of the plants. My sims have very big gardens so it was costly. At this point, I'm just destroying them all good or evil when I hear the music that a gnome appears.
I just want to play my game. But lately it just seems like every time I can find the time to play, one thing fixed and three things are broken. I just want to relax and play my game.
Sorry for venting just a long week and this is another thing to frustrate me.
