I just noticed Elsa (mid conversation at the chess table) wander into the house, pick up a toy that was a baby shower reward that an infant had just stopped playing with, then walk back to the chess table and pocket the toy.
Why do we not have any options to call NPCs out on this?
Elsa Bjergsen has the genius trait, not klepto.
This is a known bug that has been in the game for a long time. Sims shouldn't be able to put objects they don't own into their inventories (except for kleptos), but NPCs for some reason do exactly that. That goes not just for toys, but also books, music instruments, tablets etc. It's very annoying.
