[LD] Tarot cards can't be moved between inventories

Same problem and I don’t understand the logic: if the deck is in my household inventory, it should be usable; after all, it’s there—I haven’t lost it. I already can’t use the individual cards (which, instead, I had understood was possible in order to get “hints”; those trigger on their own, randomly), but if I complete the deck with a different Sim, the one I made pursue the spiritist/fortune-teller career is locked out. Now, I get that I should have chosen to leave the items in their personal inventory—but how was I supposed to know? For something like this, you can lose hours of quests. A new Sim can’t pass me a new deck, and I can’t redo the missions with the same one; in both cases, I’ve essentially “burned” the time. Wouldn’t it make sense to change this, allowing these items to be usable as long as they’re at least in the household inventory?

You said you gifted them and then could move them back.

Were you able to move them before you gifted them too ?

At the end of the day, it all comes down to sharing them between Sims not working.

I was told to add onto this even though my issue was different. I can move the cards between inventories but only the original owner can actually use them

My sim completed the tarot deck collection, and then gifted the cards to her son, but he can't actually use them. They work fine if I move them back to her inventory. This is similar to an issue I've had in a previous save where the cards were passed on as an heirloom and then couldn't be used by the heir

You can gift them between Sims. Helpful if you know your Sim is going to die. Unhelpful if not. You can place a complete pack in the world or move it to another household Sim's inventory. 

Can you place the cards on the ground one by one from the household  inventory? Could they be picked up by another Sim that way?  --- Just tried that with some cards I place from debug. Couldn't pick them up.
