This is a really unnecessarily annoying way to do this. Yes, the optional quests are not required to get any of the rewards that are actually new, but would it be so hard to let people feel like they properly completed it without doing these "optional" quests? All the previous events were completed without the optional quests. Do they really think people are going to drop the $50 on an expansion pack just so that they can get the flirty portion at the end of the track? They're just making people feel frustrated for no reason.
