Personally not a fan of any of the events at all. The main goal of them probably is to get people engaged with the game and buy packs because of that.
You will receive all the exclusive rewards even if you don't own packs and this was communicated ahead of time. I agree that the ending is pretty abrupt. If you don't do the optional ones once you finish the last non-optional one, they disappear. I've also missed out on one because of that.
I don't work for EA or can change anything about this so I'm a bit unsure why you tagged me. It's good feedback for EA but I don't have anything to do with it.

I know you don't have anything to do with EA. The issue I was responding to was what you were saying.
The issue isn't for those who don't have the packs, or don't participate in the quests at all. It's for those who have only some of the packs and whether they get the quests they could do. The way this panned out, you aren't guarenteed the ability to do so in the first place, and there wasn't anything in the description of the event that this would be the problem. If you're not getting the quests for packs you do have, you can't do any optional quests. In fact, as one has implied, it's no longer actually optional. So even if you did do it once, apparently you don't reap all the rewards because it's stuck in a points based bonus, which is only tied to the optional quests.
Heck, again, that's not even touching on the automatic quest completion that happens that would nullify the ability to do optional quests at all. That also locks you out from the bonus points, if that also happens with some people. So, merely having the packs isn't enough. It's a bad way for the event to be set up with the mechanics of the game.
