Kinda of hard to comment on this being that the forum has rules about religion. I would think that Seasons tried to stay away from any simbalance of orthodox religiosity when you look at the "Christmas" holiday in Seasons. Although it's in the winter months, and presents are exchanged, and it even has a "Santa Claus" so to speak, but it's not called Christmas. There is no Ramadhan either for me. Although there is Arabic or Islamic clothing in the base game. EA tries to appease it's vast cultural market be it Eastern (Japanese) "Snowy Escape", Korean (the clothing), Arabic or middle eastern (the clothing again), and the LGBTQ community (Pride clothing). This game has not just an American market, but it can be found in just about all markets on the globe. EA seemed to give religions (Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist) clothing, but no real substance in it's game pack. It does not, I believe, want arguments about it's game based on the religion of one being out shined by another. I hope this doesn't cause me any trouble down the line.
They aren't going to put religion in the game and I am fine with that, especially as everyone interprets it differently. But it's nice to have all the objects and interactions that we can use to create celebrations and traditions even if they are traditionally linked to religious events. They could add fasting as a holiday tradition or some other method, because people fast for health reason not just religious. Would be nice if they added more elements for major religions and cultures, and make it possible to create a personalized calendar of celebrations for each household, as it would help make each household different from one another. If I have an Indian family in my game, they shouldn't care for Winterfest but celebrate Diwali and a Chinese family should be able to celebrate Chinese new year with moon cakes and fish grand meal.
