The grim reaper, and blast from the past events, are really obnoxious. I'm forced to see the icon on my screen and cant find any reasonable way that doesnt involve messing with my computers files to disable it.
I have NO interest in questing in a life simulation game, Im there to simulate life, not an mmorpg. Having these weird mobile-looking battle pass thing in the game really throws me off. Thank you.

I agree! The Sims 4 is not a mobile game. And I don't understand why the option to opt-out via settings is still not here. I don't think it's difficult to implement at all. I am an overly sensitive person, to be honest - and this is just unfair that I have to choose whether I want to play the game online, have access to gallery while I play, and see this annoying icon that's just a pure eyesore, OR play offline and lose access to gallery - which is a KEY feature for me. It just want to disable events and related pop-ups and stuff.

I don't want to play live events. I have never wanted to play the live events. I don't want them intruding on my gameplay, I don't want bugs related to them.
Unfortunately, because the event got extended, letting the game go online so I could use the Gallery automatically opted me into Nature's Calling and now the quest button is in all my saves. Is there an opt-out, or at least a mod that'll turn it off? Alternately, if I don't interact with it at all is it going to have an effect on my gameplay anyway?

You are unable to opt out of the event, but if you don’t interact with the quest button, it isn’t going to affect your gameplay. You can still play the game as you would like to, but you won’t receive the rewards that come with the event. You won’t be able to have or use the reward items in your game.
